The Informacon of William Trowman als Truman of Dudley ꝑish in Worcest^rsh {Nailor} 15 aprill 1699

He saith that abo^t. Ianuary or Feb^ry was 4 years he saw Ch: Holland of ashby d{e} le zouch in Leicestershire a seller of Earthen Ware and George Holland y^e father of y^e sd Charles |+| of the same Trade + ꝑish & Elizabeth Pollard of y^e same ꝑ y^e wife of Pollard a Sell^r. of Earthen Ware coyn five Crown pieces in imitacon of the curr^t. mill^d money of this Kingdom by casting y^m. in Flasks at the house of Iohn Cantrell a Farmer in Hartshorn ꝑish in Derbysh in which house the Inform^t then lived having rented it of the said Iohn Cantrell but the lett^rs. Decus et Tutamen they did not set on y^e edges having not an Edger to do it with— and that Iohn Bale who was convicted at Stafford the last assizes for coyning and Anthony Bale Nailor of no certain Habitacon the brother of the said Iohn Bale, Mary Bale y^e wife of the said Iohn Bale made abo^t. 13^s. in shillings and sixpences after y^e similitude of the Current mill'd Coyn of this Realme and edged them with an Edger w^ch. had a handle to turn abo^t. and this was done at the house of y^e sd Ino Bale in amblecutt in the ꝑish of Kings Swinford in Staffordshire abo^t. y^e time of Hay Harvest last was 2 yeares— And that Eliz. Pollard can make a large Discovery— And that Rich^d Nat{e}hill of the ꝑish of Dudley in the presence of this Depon^t. make severall counterfeit shill^s (old money) by stamping abo^t. 8 years since— That W^m. Round of y^e said ꝑish of Dudley Nailor did in the presence of this Depon^t. abo^t. 7 or 8 yeares since make severall counterfeit shillings (old money) in y^e said ꝑish of Dudley – and that Iohn Bromhall of Worley Banck bought counterfeit money of the said Will Round and gave him after the rate of abo^t. 9^d a piece for Counterfeit shill^s.— And that Richard Wootton of the said Worley Banck in the Country of Stafford Butcher did in the like manner buy counterfeit money of the said Willm Round abo^t. 8 or 9 yeares ago— That Thomas Allen of the ꝑish of Old Swinford in the County of Worcest {Syth} Smith did abo^t. 9 years ago clipp the Current Coyn of the Realme in the ꝑish of Rowley in Staffordsh. and carry^d the Clippings to one Iohn Willits of the said ꝑish Smith and that the sd allen and Willets did make the same into counterfeit money at Willet's shop— That one Steph Tither of Bewdley in the said County of Worcester Butcher did abo^t. 11 years since bring abo^t. 6 or 7 ounces of Clippings of the Curr^t Coyn of this Realme said he clipt ym himself would have this Inform^t to have bought them of him or to have made them into counterfeit money but this Depon^t. refusing so to do the said Tither did declare that he would carry y^t same to one Charles Dyke of Kings Swinford ꝑish in y^e County of Stafford Nailor and this Depon^t doth believe y^t he did so
