Proposal of Mr Wood concerning the supply of copper

My son has acquainted \me/ w^th y^r kind reception of my letter, & favourable answer, for w^ch I humbly return my hearty thanks.

In answer to what you were pleas'd to tell my son, Coll Parker shall not be concern'd in y^e Coinage, neither had I entertain'd any such design at first, but that I was led into it ꝑ mistake, thinking, (as he always told me) that he was y^r old acquaintance; & favourite, & y^e only person you intended to y^e undertaking; & that otherwise I had no hopes of being concern'd. And this prevented my making application to you at first, before I gave in my Proposals.

As to y^e price of y^e Copper, tho' 17^d$\frac{3}{4}$ is cheaper than can be afforded, & I believe, than any one will sell, yet I will refer my self wholly to you in that matter: And (as I said in my former) shall be very carefull in every respect to be agreeable, & approve myself
