                <p rend="indent10" xml:id="par3">My son has acquainted <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">me</add> <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">th</hi></abbr><expan>with</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> kind <lb xml:id="l1"/>reception of my letter, &amp; favourable answer, for <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> <lb xml:id="l2"/>I humbly return my hearty thanks.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par4">In answer to what you were pleas'd to tell my <lb xml:id="l3"/>son, <choice><abbr>Co<hi rend="overline">ll</hi></abbr><expan>Coll.</expan></choice> Parker shall not be concern'd in <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Coinage, <lb xml:id="l4"/>neither had I entertain'd any such design at first, but <lb xml:id="l5"/>that I was led into it <choice><orig>ꝑ</orig><reg>per</reg></choice> mistake, thinking, (as he always <lb xml:id="l6"/>told me) that he was <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>your</expan></choice> old acquaintance; &amp; favourite, <lb xml:id="l7"/>&amp; <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> only person you intended to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> undertaking; <lb xml:id="l8"/>&amp; that otherwise I had no hopes of being concern'd. <lb xml:id="l9"/>And this prevented my making application to you <lb xml:id="l10"/>at first, before I gave in my Propo<choice><orig><hi rend="overline">sa</hi></orig><reg>sa</reg></choice>ls.</p>
                
                <p xml:id="par5">As to <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> price of <choice><abbr>y<hi rend="superscript">e</hi></abbr><expan>the</expan></choice> Copper, tho' 17<hi rend="superscript">d</hi><formula><math xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mfrac><mn>3</mn><mn>4</mn></mfrac></math></formula> is cheaper <tei:lb xmlns:tei="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:id="l11"/>than can be afforded, &amp; I believe, than any one will <tei:lb xmlns:tei="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:id="l12"/>sell, yet I will refer my self wholly to you in that <tei:lb xmlns:tei="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:id="l13"/>matter: And (as I said in my former) shall be very <tei:lb xmlns:tei="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:id="l14"/>carefull in every respect to be agreeable, &amp; approve <tei:lb xmlns:tei="http://www.tei-c.org/ns/1.0" xml:id="l15"/>myself</p>
