My Lords

I have considered the annexed Petition & beleive find that y^e Petitioner did apprehend & prosecute W^m Hawp|k|ins & James {illeg}|Ha|rrison & by taking &|a| journed|y| of 36 miles to Lincoln \Assizes/ & staying there a week w^th his witnesses did conv pr prosecute them to conviction & the estate he petitions for amounts to about 10^£ per an̄ but & is not yet seized for his Ma^ts use & I beleive it for his Ma^ts service that suitable rewards such as may be a lease of this estate for so many years as yo^r Lord^ps shall think \fit/ may \tend to/ encourage Gentlemen in the Country to Serve his Ma^ty more readily in these matters.
