Who Informeth and Saith that he was at the house of Roger Woodburn on tuesday last togeather with Ben: Johnson James Lindow Tho: Petty and others, and did See the said Lindow pull out of his pocket and give to the said Ben: Johnson two halfe Crowns (supposing him to be an Attorney) to be concerned for him in a suite to be com̄enced agt the said Roger Woodburn for Slander: and after some time the said Ben: Johnson lookeing upon them said they were Counterfeit money and charged the same James Lindow there with, who shortly after went out of the Company into the Town street of Ulverstone, and before he returned again to the Company one Agnes Mackrell, maid Servt to the Sd Roger Woodburn haveing been sent for the Constable of Ulverstone to come and apprehend the said Lindow, as she returnd with a Lanthorn & Candle in her hand and told this Inform:t and others of ye Company yt she had heard some money Jingle, as being dropt in the Street and there upon this Inform:t took the Lanthorn from her, and out into the Street with the Sd Roger Woodburn, they met the said James Lindow at the street door of Woodburns house with his purse in his hand, and asked him why he went out from the Company, but he would give them no Satisfaction therin: And after that this Inform:t togeather with Robert Stainbank and John Wilkinson went into the street wth the Lanthorne and close unto the house side of the Sd Roger Woodburn they found all togeather 13. 12 Crownes, and bringing them to the Company, they were of opinion they were all Counterfeits: But the Sd Lidlow being charged therewith, did not own them to be his, and further saith that all the said 12 Crowns being yt night put into the hands of Edw.d Petty ye Con.ble of Ulverston this Inform:ts Seale being set upon the same                                    Rob.t Wainman
