The Informacon of Richard Pedder Callend^r next door to the Swan with 2 Necks in Ladd Lane in the ꝑish of S^t Lawrence London 25 September 1699

He saith that about 3 weekes ago one Iohn Blake of the ꝑish of Pinnar in the County of Middx Carpent^r. did buy of him the said Richard Peddar a Fustian Frock in Golden Lane in the ꝑish of S^t Gyles without Criplegate in the said County of Middx at a Meal Shop he the said Iohn Blake lodging there at that time and the said Iohn Blake in paying him this Inform^t. for the said Frock gave him a Counterfeit French Pistoll out of which this Inform^t gave to y^e sd Ino Blake 8^s + 8^d back it being the overplus of w^t. the Frock came to and that the said Iohn Blake refused to change the sd Pistoll and affirmed that if it was his he reced i{illeg}|t| of his Master Thomas Pond Carpenter of the said ꝑish of Pinnar who paid him two French pistolls and that the sd Pond acknowledged y^t he had paid two French pistoles to the sd Iohn Blacke
