By the direction of my Ld Chancellour of Scotland we humbly present yor Lordp wth the inclosed Memorial to be laid before the Comt|m|mittee of Council wch sits this day upon the affairs of Scotland. We are

And that a Pile of standard Troy wts be made by the Deputy Chamberlains of ye Excheqr for the Treasury of\in/ Scotland, & two other piles by the Warden of the Mint & to be delivered to the General of ye Mint in Scotland or i nhis abs as the Indenture of ye Mint directs, or in his absence, to the General of ye Mint your Lordps Order to \in ye Tower/ in the presence of the other Officers, s{illeg}|in| such manner that the smaller weights keep proportion with the greater as ye Indenture of the Mint directs & that \all/ the{illeg}|se| \piles/ be printed like the weighted sent to the Corporations & one of the two Piles delivered to your Lops Order {illeg}|for| {illeg}|th|e {said} Mint in Scotland.

And we are further of opinion that for

And we are further of opinion that untill an Indenture can be drawn up between her Maty of the|a||t| Mint at Edinbur prescribing the duty of every Officer in particular her Maty may please to issue out her Warrant to ye General & Officers of that Mint wth a copy the coynage may be there set on foot by her Maties Warrant \directed/ to the General & other Officer, wth a copy of the present Indenture of the|i||s| Mint annexed to it, authorising & requiring them to act under the R{illeg}|u|les – – – – of the Dyes & Puncheons untill the worn Dyes be defaced in their presence.

And another Warrant may be directed to the Master of that Mint authorising requiring him to coyn one tenth part of the silver into shillings\sixpences/ & four tenths into sixpences shillings, & authorizing him to command the Graver to make Dyes Puncheons & Dyes for – – – – distinguished.
