|3| |2| The Charges of repairing the iron work of the Mills Presses {&} \flatters &c/ are within the Moneyers allowance \of 2d pr lwt poundage{sic}/, those of repairing the wood|en| work thereof are {with}\have been hitherto/ allowed in the Masters Acct out of ye surplus above the {illeg}|35|00li.

|2| |1.| \{illeg} Char/Coale, Aqua fortis, water silver, Cuppels,\2/ Lead, & the Assay fu{illeg}|rn|aces \& Loss by the Assays/ have always recconed into the charges of the Assaying & placed in the Masters Accoun{illeg}|t| as parts of ye charge \& wast/ of Assayi{illeg}|n|g to wch the surplus above the three thousand pounds have been appropriated. And this charge is amongst the Charges to wch the surplus above the 3000li \(now 3500)/ is appropriated by Act of Parliament.

|{2}|1|| |4| \The charges of reducing the {illeg}|b|ullion to standard that is the charges of by refining {sic}/ Refining & Allay are by the Indenture of the Mint to be allowed to the Master & Wr out of ye coynage moneys, & are {illeg}|a|ccordingly placed in the Masters Acct|c|ount. This clause of ye Indenture would have been needless had the charge of reducing the money to standard been \deemed/ within ye 3000li.

All these charges arising not from the being of a Mint \alone/ but from the being of a coynage, & d|b|eing in no danger of \absolutely necessary for carrying it on & not liable to/ extravagance, have hitherto for the encouragement of coynage been left unlimited & placed in the Masters Account that he may meet wth no di impediment or discouragement \from others persons/ in going on readily with the coyna{illeg}|g|e. If any of them are to come within the 3{illeg}|5|00li they should be \paid by the Warden &/ placed in the Wardens |his| Acct: & then it will be within the power of the Warden to \& those that can influence him to entangle &/ retard ye coynage Master \& those under him/ in carrying {illeg}|o|n the coynage.

The fees at the Excheqr being\at the Exchequer & Tr/ paid by the Master are placed in his Acct

The fees \p{illeg}/ at {illeg}|t|he Excheqr & Treary for moneys re{illeg}|cei|bed, & those for passing the Accounts of the Warden & Mr through the several Offices of the Excheqr being paid by the Master are placed in his Account They \are kept to {illeg}|a| certain rate &/ relate both to ye 3{0}|5|00li & to ye excess & are kept to a certain rate wthout a & have been hitherto looked upon as incidents of the Mints & coynage in general |[|without hurting \restraining/ the{illeg}|m| to ye 35|0|00 or 2500li within a certain summ.|]| The

The Bills of ye Scalemaker & Stationer \& Purveyor/ in the Wardens Acct arise from the coynage, & about have\so/ have not been yet been recconed with the 3000 or 3500li.
