We in his Ma^tys: Name do hereby will & require You by Virtue of his Ma^tys: Gen^l: Lres of Privy Seal bearing date the 29^th. day of Sept^r: 1714. to Issue & Pay or cause to be Issued & paid out of any his Ma^tys: Treasure being & remaining the Receipt of the Excheq^r: applicable to the Vses of the Civil Governm^t: unto Iustus Brandshagen & Iames Hamilton or their \respective/ Assigns the Sum of 90^li: without Acco^t: in manner following That is to say To the said Iustus Brandshagen the sum of 60^li: & to the said Iames Hamilton the Sum of 30^li which Sums are paid to the said respective Persons who are recommended to his Ma^ty: as skilled in the Working of Mines to Enable them imediately to go down to Scotland to work or try the Working of a Silver Mine lately {illeg}|d|i{illeg}|s|covered there: And We do also in his Ma^tys: Name Will & require You by Virtue of the Same Letters of Privy Seal & out of the like Treasure to pay or cause to be paid unto the said Iustus Brandshagen or his Assigns an Allowance after the Rate of {1}|2|0^sh: ꝑ diem \& to y^e. s^d. Iames Hamilton or his Assigns an Allow^ce: after y^e. rate of 10^sh. ꝑ diem/ from the day or days they shall respectively arrive at Edinburgh for & during such time as they shall respectively continue to abide in Scotland upon the said Work Or You shall see Cause to pay the said respective Allowances to them or either of them in Consideration of their or either of their service & application to the said Work & y^e. Testimony w^ch: You shall receive thereof And for so doing this shall be your sufficient Warrant Given at his Ma^tys: Court at Hampton Court the 20^th: day of August 1716 in the 3^d. Year of His Ma^tys: Reign.
