|Middx Ss| The Informaion of Rich:d Sum̄ers and John Hook both of ye parish of St Sepulcers taken before me upon oath this 20th day of xber 1702

Who saith that they the Informants having a Warrant to search the house of lodgings of Rose an Iron and his wife Ann and one Mary Sherston upon suspicion of counterfeiting the currt coyn of this Realms did go up into a garriot belonging to the said house in virginia Street in the county of Middx and did then and there see the aforesaid Mary Shershon finishing of some counterfeiting money with \and/ a file standing by her in ye window and washing and rubbing it over with feague to make it ye more resemble the currant coyn of this realm Viz.t two 12 crowns and one shilling (now produced unto them,) and seized the same upon her she having them in her hand, and took the feague pott standing in the window by her, and a pair of flask-screws under her bed tg together with some spand under ye bed aforesaid together with anothr bagg of spand in the chimney corner of her Sd Roome cap Jurat anno et die prædict: coram me J Stanley        Rich.dSum̄ers                                              John Hook

|Middx Ss|Anthony S.t Leger of ye Parish of Christs church Lond:n Gent: being duly Examined upon oath saith, that yesterday evening upon search made in the Lodging of Rose {Iron} upon suspicion of Counterfeiting ye currant coyn of this kingdome he did then & there find in the Sd Rose Iron's Kitching he and Ann his wife beng present one Crucible under the grate warm, and another crucible in a hole under a closet. <1v> And further saith, that upon the Sd search he this Informant went up one pair of stairs into the Lodging room to the said Rose Iron together with him and his wife, and did there find a bagg of spand (now produced) in a trunk in the roome belonging to ye said Iron and demanding of Rose Iron and Ann his wife how it came there they did deny that they knew how it came there; or to that effect Capt: Jurat 20 die Decembr: 1702 corā me J Stanley         Ant: St: Leger
