Informacon of Ioseph Wildman Serjeant of Coll Watkins's Company con first Regim^t of Guards Octob^r. 20 1698

This Inform^t. says y^t. on Tuesday last he askt Iames Pritchard to change him half a Crown which he did accordingly and 2^s + 6^d one of which shillings and the 6^d. He did afterwards find to be count^rfeit whereupon he acquainted his Coll with it and shewed him the shilling which he has now to produce imediatly upon this the Col order^d him to seize the said Pritchard but he could {sic} find him till this morning and by the command of the Col he carry^d. him prisoner to the Savoy, since the app^rhending this Pritchard this Inform^t. has heard severall soldjers say that he has often made his braggs that he has coynd as much money as would pay the Regim^t
