Sr.

At my coming to this place last night I found yours of the 14 instant wth. ye Informaīon therein inclosed + the letter from the Mayor of Bristoll to you + this afternoon the major of Bath came to me + brought wth him an Informīon sent to him by the Mayor of Bristoll upon wch ye major of Bath apprehended Boddily + sent him to the Gaol of this County where I found upon my Gaol Callender that he was Committed by the maior of Bath on suspiīon of counterfeiting the Coyn of this Realme but the mayor of Bath tells me that this Io Bates who have the Informaīon is removed from Bristol to stafford he supposes to give evidence there for the King. I have no evidence at all agt. Boddily in this County but it appears by Bates's Informaīon that he can give evidence agt. him in Worcestershire therefore Io and all the persons concernn this mattr. inclosed herein to you and I purpose to leave Boddily in the Gaol here to be sent by Hab Corpus to the next assizes for Worcestrshire that so you may cause him to be prosecuted there if you think fitt and if you have Bates in yor power to give evidence agt. him for if Bates be to be creditted there is great evidence agt Boddily in Worcestershire and this is all I can do by Law to prevent Boddily escaping Iustice I am

Sr
