This Deponent saith ytthat he does verily beleive ytthat one Elizabeth Franklin doth or lately did Lodge wthwith James Mathews of Waysbury in yethe County of BucksBuckinhhamshire paper maker where she wthwith others does practice yethe Trade of diminishing Guineys & ytthat yethe SdSaid James Mathews does usualy once in three weeks or oftener come to London to putt off yethe SdSaid diminisht & counterfeit Guineys this Deponent further Saith ytthat yethe SdSaid Elizabeth Franklyn did one time wchwhich this Deponent cannot well remember pay to ysthis deponent one counterfeit Guiney wchwhich he yethe SdSaid Deponent hath yet in his custody ytthat ysthis depon.tdeponent upon receit thereof told it was a bad counterfeit Guiney she replyd it will goe well enough & if ysthis Depon.tDeponent would keep his Councell she would Infrom him all & maintain him so long as he should live or words to yethe same effect.
