Wee being very well assur'd ytthat you must have a considerable Number of diesdyes in yr.your custody, wch:which are totoo worn or crackd as to be altogether unfitt for any longer usage in coining yethe monys: & it being our design to cause all such diesdyes both heads & Arms, to be defac'd & broken here in yethe presence of us yethe Warden Master et cæta. as ought to be, & usually is done in the like case

Wee direct You therefore ytthat you cause all such diesdyes as are useless, both heads & Arms of $\frac{1}{2}$ Crowns; shillsshillings & six pences to be carefully Numbred each sort distinctly & put up securely in a strong box, in yethe presence of you the DeptyDeputy Warden, Master Wkr:Worker & Comptroller, & yethe surveyor of yethe Meltings, & yethe Assistant Graver of yoryour Mint: & then you are to direct & send yethe said box by the Waggonfirst opportunity you shall have of conveying it hither yethe Waggon wchwhich yethe Kings Mony for taxes, when any such Monys are sent to Town under a Guard: takeing yethe Receivers or Waggoners Receipt for yethe safe delivery of yethe said Box to yethe Porter of the Mint in yethe Tower, & enclosing ytthat receipt in yoryour Lettr:Letter to Vs, to be deliver'd back when yethe box is received here
