                <p xml:id="par2">M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Haywood the <choice><abbr>L<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>.</abbr><expan>Lieutenant</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Gov<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Governor</expan></choice> of Iamaica having by his <lb xml:id="l4"/>Letter (of <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi></abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> I inclose you a Copy) acquainted my Lords of the <lb xml:id="l5"/><choice><abbr>Trea<hi rend="overline">ry</hi></abbr><expan>Treasury</expan></choice>, that the Lord Archibald Hamilton upon his going <lb xml:id="l6"/>off from that Island deposited with him 1481 Ounces of Spanish <lb xml:id="l7"/>Silver Coyn, and thereby desired (in as much as the said Money <lb xml:id="l8"/>was a seizure &amp; supposed to belong to pirates) their Lordships <lb xml:id="l9"/><choice><abbr>Dire<hi rend="overline">cons</hi></abbr><expan>Directions</expan></choice> what he should do therewith; Their <choice><abbr>Lordps</abbr><expan>Lordship</expan></choice> have <lb xml:id="l10"/>Orderd the said <choice><abbr>Lieu<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Lieutenant</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Gov<hi rend="superscript">r</hi></abbr><expan>Governor</expan></choice> to consigne the said Silver to you <lb xml:id="l11"/>by the first &amp; safest Conveyance as you will find by the inclosed <lb xml:id="l12"/>Copy of the Letter to him on that occasion; I am therefore <lb xml:id="l13"/>by their <choice><abbr>Lordps</abbr><expan>Lordships</expan></choice> Co<choice><orig>m̄</orig><reg>mm</reg></choice>and to desire you (as soon as the said <lb xml:id="l14"/>silver comes to hand) to cause the same to be Coyned, &amp; pay <lb xml:id="l15"/>the proceed thereof into the <choice><abbr>Rec<hi rend="superscript">t</hi></abbr><expan>Receipt</expan></choice> of his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">ts</hi></abbr><expan>Majestys</expan></choice> Exchequer <lb xml:id="l16"/>taking a Tally for the same in the name of the said <lb xml:id="l17"/>M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Haywood, as the proceed of the said silver paid in <lb xml:id="l18"/>by your hands I am &amp;c<hi rend="superscript">a</hi>. 11<hi rend="superscript">th</hi> Ian<hi rend="superscript">ry</hi> 1716</p>
