In obedience to yoryour LordpsLordships Order signified to me by Mr Scrope's Letter of of 10 Apr. 1724, concerning the trial of the Pix of copper moneys coyned at by Mr Wood at Bristow I humbly represent that the moneys there reserved for a trial are kept under two locked up in a box under the keyes of Mr Woo the deputies of Mr Wood & Controller of that coynage. And in memy most humble opinion the trial thereof will may be mostre authentic & satisfactory & something cheaper if the Box before opening thereof be brought up under lock & key to London & the moneys triedthe opened the moneys tried in his Majesties Mint & the monies tried there before the two parties (Mr Wood & the ConController) & & the before the Officers of yethe Mint & such other person or persons as your LordpsLordships shall appoint to be present. & to report the trial to your LordpsLordships. And at the same time any other parcel of or parcels of copper moneys old or new may be triesd there & the weight & value ascertained, & compared with the value of the said copper money coyned at Bristow, & the trial reported to your LordpsLordships.

And before one or two one or two Gentlemaen of Ireland who may have your LordpsLordships leave to be present if they desired it. And at that same time any other parcel or parcells of copper moneys old or new may be tried there before the same persons & the weight & value ascertained & compared with the value of the copper money now coyned at Bristow & the trial reported to your LordpsLordships. [And if any copper money shall be complained of as lighter or coursedrcoarser then then that now kept in the Pix at Bristow hath been be complained of as sent & yet sent into Ireland soe by Mr Wood or his deputy & be complained of we can & a parcel thereof be sent to us at any time hereafter, we can then see it assayed it till may be then assay in like manneromper & rep the valuethe deficiency reported too your Lordps.]

But if your LorpsLordships had rather that the Assays be made copper Pix be tried at Bristow, I will look about for a man, to do it, & agreetreat with him, & see him instructed & furnished with necessaries with all speed.

[And if any other considerable quantity parcels specimen of of the copper money wchwhich hath been sent into Ireland [by Mr Wood or his deputy shall be complained of a lighter or coarser then that now kept in the Pix at Bristow Mr Woods Patent allow & a parcelspecimen thereof] be sent to us at any time hereafter, it may be then assay in like manner & the deficiencyvalue reported to your Lordps.]
