    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par1"><hi rend="large">Anne</hi> by the Grace of God of England, Scotland <lb xml:id="l1"/>France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith &amp;<hi rend="superscript">c</hi> <lb xml:id="l2"/><hi rend="large">To all</hi> to whom these presents shall come greeting <lb xml:id="l3"/><hi rend="large">Know ye</hi> that wee of Our Especial Grace <lb xml:id="l4"/>certain Knowledge and meer Motion have given <lb xml:id="l5"/>and granted and do by these presents Constitute <lb xml:id="l6"/>Ordaine appoint and grant that Our Trusty and <lb xml:id="l7"/>Well beloved Henry Harris Gentleman During Our <lb xml:id="l8"/>Pleasure shall have full power and Authority by <lb xml:id="l9"/>himself and his Workmen to make Frame and <lb xml:id="l10"/>Engrave the designes and Effigies of the Images of <lb xml:id="l11"/>us in such sizes and formes as are to serve in <lb xml:id="l12"/>all sorts of Coyns of Gold and Silver together with all <lb xml:id="l13"/>Medals of all sorts and Mettals representing the <lb xml:id="l14"/>Effigies of us, as also all other Coyned pieces of the <lb xml:id="l15"/>nature aforesaid that may Convey to Posterity <lb xml:id="l16"/>any Marke or Character of prosperous or Worthy <lb xml:id="l17"/>successes or Accidents or great Actions, and to the <lb xml:id="l18"/>end the said Henry Harris may have and enjoy <lb xml:id="l19"/>such benefit or proffit as shall or may arise come <lb xml:id="l20"/>or accrew by the use of the said Medals <hi rend="large">Our <lb xml:id="l21"/>Will</hi> and Pleasure is and we do by these presents <lb xml:id="l22"/>strictly charge prohibit and Command all and <lb xml:id="l23"/>every person or persons whatsoever of what Estate <lb xml:id="l24"/>degr<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">e</add>e or Condition soever they or any of them <lb xml:id="l25"/>be or shall be that none of them other then the said <lb xml:id="l26"/>Henry Harris or his Assigns without Our especiall <lb xml:id="l27"/>and express Commandment, Attempt presume or <lb xml:id="l28"/>go about to make frame and Engrave, or to <lb xml:id="l29"/>Counterfeit, imitate, cast, melt, sell or sett to sale <lb xml:id="l30"/>any of the said Medals whatsoeve<del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">r</add>, which by the <lb xml:id="l31"/>said Henry Harris shall be Framed, made or <lb xml:id="l32"/>perfected in any sort upon such paines and penalties

    as by the Law and Statutes of this Our Realm or by <lb xml:id="l33"/>Our Prerogative Royall can or may be inflicted upon <lb xml:id="l34"/>the Offenders for their Contempt and breach of Our Royall <lb xml:id="l35"/>Commandment in that behalf <hi rend="large">And Wee do</hi> by <lb xml:id="l36"/>these presents give and grant unto the said Henry <lb xml:id="l37"/>Harris full power Licence Priviledge and Authority <lb xml:id="l38"/>to have in his Custody the sole Keeping of such Engines <lb xml:id="l39"/>Instruments and devices whatsoever to be used in <lb xml:id="l40"/>the Framing of the said Medals Pieces or Coynes <lb xml:id="l41"/><hi rend="large">And Know</hi> ye further that we Weighing the <lb xml:id="l42"/>service to be performed in the Execution of the <lb xml:id="l43"/>premises <hi rend="large">Do</hi> hereby declare and grant that the <lb xml:id="l44"/>said Henry Harris shall have and Receive For <lb xml:id="l45"/>the Exercise and Execution of the said Service and <lb xml:id="l46"/>place of making of the first designs of us belonging <lb xml:id="l47"/>to Our Mint, and Medals of all sorts as aforesaid the <lb xml:id="l48"/>Fee Allowance, and yearly sum of Three Hundred <lb xml:id="l49"/>Twenty give pounds of Lawfull Mony of England <lb xml:id="l50"/>during Our Pleasure; the first Payment of the <lb xml:id="l51"/>said Three Hundred Twenty five pounds per Annum <lb xml:id="l52"/>to be made for the Quarter to end at the Feast <lb xml:id="l53"/>of S<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>. Michael the Archangell next ensuing the <lb xml:id="l54"/>Date hereof, and the subsequent Payments Quarterly <lb xml:id="l55"/>by Equal portions from time to time as they <lb xml:id="l56"/>shall incurr by the hands of the Master and <lb xml:id="l57"/>Worker of Our Mint now and for the time being <lb xml:id="l58"/><hi rend="large">And</hi> wee do hereby require and Command the <lb xml:id="l59"/>Master and Worker of Our Mint now and for the <lb xml:id="l60"/>time being to pay the same accordingly out of <lb xml:id="l61"/>such Mony as shall from time to time be in <lb xml:id="l62"/>his hands for that purpose, and these presents at <lb xml:id="l63"/>the Inrollment thereof shall be a sufficient <lb xml:id="l64"/>Warrant to the Auditors of the Mint for allowing
