        <lb type="intentional" xml:id="l1"/>his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">tis</hi>.</hi></abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice> Mint To the <choice><abbr>R<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>:</abbr><expan>Right</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>hon<hi rend="superscript">ble</hi>:</abbr><expan>honourable</expan></choice> the Lord <choice><abbr>Comm<hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="overline">rs</hi></hi>:</abbr><expan>Commissioners</expan></choice> of his <choice><abbr>Ma<hi rend="superscript">tes</hi>:</abbr><expan>Majesties</expan></choice>
    <lb type="intentional" xml:id="l2"/><hi rend="underline"><choice><abbr>Tr<hi rend="overline">eary</hi></abbr><expan>Treasury</expan></choice></hi></p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par2"><hi rend="large">S</hi>heweth</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par3">That the said Daniell Brattell was sworne &amp; <del type="strikethrough">Constituted</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">continu'd</add> to <lb xml:id="l3"/>Act &amp; Assist in the Duty of the said Office for above twenty yeares <lb xml:id="l4"/>before his Farthers death without any salary or recompence</p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par4">That the said Daniell Brattell by his Fathers death becomeing <lb xml:id="l5"/>Assaymaster as former Assaymasters had so <add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">he</add> Continu'd to have very <lb xml:id="l6"/>good Advantage by Merchants forreigne &amp; home Business</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par5">That the extraordinary Coynage <del type="strikethrough">being</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">begining</add> on the 29: of I<hi rend="overline">an</hi><hi rend="superscript">ry</hi>: <lb xml:id="l7"/>95: <choice><abbr>Yo<hi rend="superscript">r</hi>:</abbr><expan>Your</expan></choice> <choice><abbr>Lop<hi rend="overline">p</hi><hi rend="superscript"><hi rend="underline">s</hi></hi><hi rend="overline">:</hi></abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> from thence Commanded the said Daniell Brattell <lb xml:id="l8"/>to performe the same &amp; that no other business should Intervene or <lb xml:id="l9"/>hinder it &amp; tho your <choice><abbr>Lop<hi rend="overline">ps:</hi></abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> was then pleased to double his salary <lb xml:id="l10"/>yett it was farr short of the advantage by forreigne &amp; home business <lb xml:id="l11"/>which may never returne</p>
    
    <p rend="indent0" xml:id="par6">That least any Accident should happen to the said Daniell Brattell to <lb xml:id="l12"/>retard in the least so Important an affaire as the said Coynage <lb xml:id="l13"/>You <choice><abbr>Lop<hi rend="overline">ps:</hi></abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> were pleased also to command &amp; Order him an <lb xml:id="l14"/>Assistant who upon that <choice><abbr>Acco<hi rend="superscript">t</hi>:</abbr><expan>Account</expan></choice> he took great pains to Instruct</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par7">That this Coynage being such <del type="over"><gap reason="illgblDel" unit="chars" extent="1"/></del><add place="over" indicator="no">a</add>s was never before performed <lb xml:id="l15"/>the said Daniell Brattell besides the Fatiegue of his own <lb xml:id="l16"/>Office was forced to Act night &amp; day to direct &amp; regulate the <lb xml:id="l17"/>said work, &amp; worken Vpon divers Occasions</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par8">That the said Brattells double salary &amp; his assistant &amp; <lb xml:id="l18"/>Clerks have been discharged &amp; taken off for five months past</p>
    
    <p xml:id="par9">The said Brattell hath Iustly &amp; allwayes in due time <lb xml:id="l19"/>performed the trust reposed in him <choice><abbr>w<hi rend="superscript">ch</hi>:</abbr><expan>which</expan></choice> has been extraordinary <lb xml:id="l20"/>not only in the Vallue of the silver in his Charge but also in <lb xml:id="l21"/>the ascertaining the Standard there of as by the severall tryalls <lb xml:id="l22"/>of the Pix doth appear &amp; hath received noe <del type="strikethrough">more</del><add place="supralinear" indicator="yes">other benifitt</add> or perquisite <lb xml:id="l23"/>but his double salary</p>
    
    <p rend="right" xml:id="par10">All which the said Daniell Brattell doth <lb xml:id="l24"/>humbly represent to Your <choice><abbr>Lordsp<hi rend="overline">p</hi>s</abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> &amp; prays <lb xml:id="l25"/>Your <choice><abbr>Lordsp<hi rend="overline">p</hi>s</abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> Consideration there of &amp; such <lb xml:id="l26"/>Reliefe therein as Your <choice><abbr>Lordsp<hi rend="overline">ps</hi></abbr><expan>Lordshipps</expan></choice> shall think <lb xml:id="l27"/><choice><orig><hi rend="underline">fitt</hi></orig><reg>fitt</reg></choice></p>
