Information of James Cokering Corporall in Col Withers's Company in the first Regiment of Guards Octo: 21 1698

Tis Informant says that last Tuesday {was senight} one James Pritchard a Soldjer in that same Regiment came to his house to buy some brandy and in paying for it laid down a bad 6d. which this Informant did refuse to take saying it was lead, Pritchard then gave him a good shilling to charge + before he went away offered to help him to a man that would give him 30s. for 15 but this Informant refusing his offer Pritchard went his way
