Gentlemen

I am Commanded by My Lord Treasurer to transmitt to you the inclosed Copy's of the Representations from Charles Pembruge Landwaiter at Bristoll and from the Pewterers there touching frauds Committed to the prejudice of her Majestys Revenue arising from Tinn together with Copys of Affidavits relating thereunto his Lordship is pleased to Direct you to Examine into the said Frauds and to consider of proper Methods for the preventing thereof and that you give his Lordship an Account of what you shall do therein I am. 25th March 1714
