Pistoles one with another weigh 4dwt 714grains as I find by weighing them Whence if they were standard a Pistole would be worth 17,s1d800910000 in oer money of due weight & allay. But they But they are about 13 of a grain worse then standard & this abates of their value so as to make a Pistole worth 17s 1d 151 money of due weight & allay.

Double Pistoles being less worn then single ones are one with another about 1 grain heavier then two singl ones & so may be valued at 34s 3d a piece But the number of these is inconsiderable.

Tere are some single Pistoles 3 or 4 grains lighter then the rest, or above. These I considered not in the recconing above mentioned. If they be included they will bring down the value of Pistoles to less then 17s 0d34 a Pistole.                                              Is. Newton
