The Informacon of Katherine Clark wife of Michael Clark a Soldjer in the Regimt of Dutch foot Guards 7 Aprill 1699

Who saith that abot. 3 weeks ago she was at the Lodging of Phillip Williams in the ꝑish of St. Mary White Chappell and this Informt. did then and there see the said Phillip Williams take two shillings and 3 sixpences and the sd Williams took a knife and with it endeavourd to cut and make upon the shills and sixpences things in imitacon of the Scepters that are upon Gineas {sic} and half Gineas {sic} and afterwards rubd. the sd Shillings + six pences with Quicksilver and then Blanch the wife of the sd Williams coverd the sd Shillings + Sixpences over with Leafe Gold to make them look like Gineas {sic} and then put them put them {sic} upon some Small Coal to heat and afterwards put the sd money into Urin and then rubd it with a Wyer Brush and the sd Blanch Williams would have had this Informt. to have taken one of the Shillings (so coverd with leafe Gold as af{illeg}|o|resd and have put it off or paid {o}|i|t away to an <82r> Old woman that sells Hatts for a Ginea {sic} and the sd Phillip Williams and Blanch his wife would have had this Informt to have gone into the countrey with them to have put away false Gineas {sic} half Gineas {sic} and Pistolls and the Method that this Informt was to take to put them away was to have a Good Ginea {sic} or half Ginea {sic} or Pistoll and a bad one and if she this Informt was questiond for offering of a false Ginea {sic} she might then change it with ye Good Ginea {sic} and say that she received it in Holland and she being a Dutch woman did not understand English money
