Who saith y^t in Iune last was by {vows} one Willm Chaloner came to the house of the sd Tho: Holloway in Clare Market and this Inform^t. did then and there see the said William Chaloner very busy in mending 3 Dyes for half Crownes and y^t upon Christmas {Eve was} 4 yeares this Inform^t. by the direcon of her said husband went to the Cross Keyes Inn in Grace Church street London in order to meet the said Willm chaloner and to receive of him 40 counterfeit Gineas {sic} and this Inform^t. staid at y^e sd Inn from morning till night {eve} the said Chaloner came to her and at night the said Chaloner and the one M^rs Ioan Porter came togeather to this Inform^t. to y^e said Cross Keyes Inn and this Inform^t. did then and there receive of the said Chaloner 40 counterfeit Gineas {sic} and she enquiring of him why he came noe sooner with y^e said Gineas {sic} he replyed and said and|tha||t| he and the said M^rs Po^rter had been {b}|t|hat day in making of them and y^t he came to this Inform^t. as soon as they had finished them and this Inform^t. gave to the said Chaloner after the rate of 9^s ꝑ piece for y^e said false Gineas {sic} and y^t within these 4 yeares last post she this Inform^t. hath severall times h {sic} reced of the said W^m Chaloner and M^rs. Porter severall false Gineas {sic} and counterfeit money and the said Chaloner + Porter did declare that they did make y^m themselves and this Inform^t. saith y^t one Michael Gillingham and his wife have been privy to y^e said practises of y^e said Willm Chaloner + Mrs Porter and used to hyde Count^rfeit Gineas {sic} and money for ym under y^e {butts} of their Cellar as they told this Inform^t and she hath severall times rece^d of the said Gillingham + his wife false Gineas {sic} and money which they said was left with them by the said Chaloner and M^r{s} Porter <33v> who is daughter to the said Mr^s Gillingham + y^t abo^t Iune was 12 month this Informt saw the said Willm Chaloner guild a Silver Gineas {sic} + Spanish guild false Gineas {sic} and pistolls And y^t in or abo^t the month of October was 12 month the said Mich^l Gillingham came to the said Tho Holloway to y^e Bolt and Tan Inn in Fleet street and said, Chalon^r (who was then a prisoner in Newgate) had sent him to tell him y^t he would give him 20^li if he would not appear as a witnes ag^t. him the following sessions and holloway did agree with the said Gillingham to do so and Gillingham promissed to pay the sd money and in 2 or 3 days after the said Gillingh did in ꝑsuance of the said promisse pay unto Tho Holloway 9^li 11^s in part of paym^t. thereof and the said Holloway agreed with one Iames Lawes Master of a Scotch Vessel called y^e Mary of Leith and was to give him 3^l 10^s to – carry (by sea) Holloway's Children + Maid Serv^t into Scotland and Gillingham paid y^e sd Lawes 3^sli towards y^e said passage and y^e sd Thomas Holloway and this Informt went by Land into Scotland + Gillingham and one Henry Sauders a Tallow Chandler went with them from one M^r.
