Thomas Smart Bedell of Thieving Lane Ward in St. Margarets ꝑish Westmr. deposeth that abots. one of the Clock on Sunday morning he went to the house of Iohn Penniston (being the Feather Tavern in Kingstreet westmr.) to see what company was there and here saw Iosiah|s|{sic} Bellon whose wife is sister to Mrs. Penniston the wife of the said Iohn Pen̄yston and asking what man that was Mrs. Pennyston made answer that it was one of her Lodgers a very {evill} man and the Deponent asking how he should know that she answered that he should be forthcomeing in the morn And the Deponent returning within less then an hour with Iohn White constable and William Blackshaw Bedell the said Mrs. Pennyston own that the man above menioned whom this Depont had seen there before was Iosias Bellon her sisters husband and said that he was just gone home and she would see him forthcoming in the morning
