In obedience to your Lord^ps. Order signified to us by M^r Lownds his Letter of the 27^th. of Ianuary last, namely that we should send your Lord^p. an Account of the whole quantity of Tyn w^ch her Maj^ty. hath paid for, that now remains unsold as well in our Custody in the Tower as in the hands of the Agents for Tyn in Cornwal & Devon & at Hamburgh Holland or elswhere {sic} with as near an estimate as we can of the value thereof, or what the same when sold may produce in to the Exchequer. We humbly represent that upon the 19^th. Instant there were in the Tower 1919^Tuns. 6^C. 2^qr 9^li w^ch at 3^£. 16^s ꝑ C (the selling price at present) amounts to £145869 00^s. 1^d. In the hands of the Agents in Cornwal were 835^Tunns. 3^C. 3^qr. 11^li w^ch at £3. 15^s per C, the selling price there, amounts unto £62639. 8^s. 7^d. In Devonshire there were 34^Tuns. 18^C. 1^qr. 23^li. which after the same rate amounts unto £2619. 4^s. 2^d. In the hands of M^r Beranger at Amsterdam there were 1540 Tunns w^ch at 4^li. per C, the present selling price amounts unto £123200. And in the hands of S^r Iohn Lambert & Captain Gibbon at Hamburgh there were 960 Tuns, which if they can be sold at the same rate will amount unto £76800. The total quantity of the Tyn is 5289 Tunns 8^C 3^qrs. 15^li. And the total price thereof according to the rates above mentioned, is £411127. 12^s. 10^d.
