The 29th. April 1724.

Hond. Sr.

This morning early I went up into ye Mint office of Receipt, & finding Mr. Fauqur. had up ye 1lwt averdupois, I was oblige to compare the 7lwt. averdupois wth an Exact ballance of Troy wts. The scales & one sett of the Troywts. have been lately adjusted, but the other sett of weight remaining uncorrected, & there appearing about 6gr. difference between those 2 setts of Troy weights, I therefore compard the 7lwt Averdupois wth. both the foremention'd Setts of Troy weights, & also wth. the Troy Standd weights in the Excheqr. & the Acct. stands thus.

lwt lwtoz.dwtgr
7. averdupois = 8.6.0.18. Troy at ye Tower — Corrected, &c
7. Do.... = 8.6.1.0. Troy at ye Tower — Vncorrected.
7. Do..... = 8.6.2.6. Troy at ye Exchr — Standd.

Consequently

lwt lwtozdwtgr
1— averdupois = 1.2.11.13. fere at ye Towr. Corrected.
1. Do.... = 1.2.12|1|.13.57. Troy at ye Towr. Vncorrectd.
1. Do..... = 1.2.11.18. Troy at the Excheqr.

I am Sr.

Your most obedt & most Humble Servt.

H. Haynes
