M^r Drummond \by a warrant/ Octob. 20 1704 had 400 Tunns of Tin consigned to him & Company at Amsterdam to be disposed of at y^e best rate not under 44 $\frac{1}{2}$ Guilders p^r hundred merchant w^t of holland for a commission of two p^r Cent clear of all charges. The charges at home 1242^l. {illeg}|1|8^s. 10^d including 1200^li for customes: w^ch is after the rate of 3^s. 1^d $\frac{1}{4}$ per C.

The like quantity was consigned to him {illeg}|8| Iune 1705 on the same terms. The charges at home 1266. 19. 2.

The first parcel by sale produced 330411^gild. 16 stivers = \31467^li. 14^s./

The 2^d parcel produced 332389^gild 18^st = 316{9|6|7}|456|. 3. 7 $\frac{1}{2}$

And recconing 10| $\frac{1}{2}$ |^guilders to a pounds sterling the {illeg} first produced 3^li 18. 8^d sterling per C averdupois. The second produced 3. 19^s. 2^d. The second first was sold in about \14 or/ 15 months the second in about 10 {illeg}\clear of all charges/ These two parcels were sold in about two years, the first in more then a year, the second in less.
|The| He sent {a par} Queen lost the interest of w^ch she paid for money advanced upon this Tin w^ch came to 1{illeg}{00} 1300^li {illeg} A proposal of M^r Drummond for a third parcel of |400 Tuns| being referred to y^e Officers of the Mint, they drew up a report by w^ch it appeard that y^e Queen would lose 2000^li {illeg}|&| my Lord Treasurer agreed to y^e Report & directed to the Officers of the Mint to signify to y^e Merchants that he would sell|n||d| no more Tin \abroad/ by commission.

The 20^th of Feb 1705, M^r Stratford & M^r Freed had 240 Tunns of Tin consignd to them upon y^e same terms as the former was to {illeg}|m|^r Drummond. The charges at home 765^li. 10^s. 8^d. It produced {illeg}|c|lear of all charges 32264^l. 19^s. 2^d flemish including a loss of 16 blocks of Tin valued at 367. 0. {illeg}|0| flemish after the rate of 33^s Flemish to a pound sterling. And by consequence 19{7}{illeg}|563|. 1{5}|2|. 0 sterling {illeg} that is after the rate of 4^li 1^s. 6^d p^r C The Queen lost 490^li Flemish \interest/ & 16 blocks valued at 367^li Flemish, in all 857^li Flemish = 519^li. 8^s – sterling w^ch is after the rate of 2^s 2^d p^r C.
