To the right honble the Earle of Godolphin Lord High Thesaurer of great Britain

The Supplecaon of Robert Millar Her Majties Clerk to the Mint of Edinburgh

Humbly sheweth

That the right honorable the then Lords of her Majties privy Councel of North Britain having by their act of the 2d Septembr 1707 years (All the Commencement of the recoinage) Appointed and or dained me to take in to the Mint the Money Received from the Bank for the said Recoinage by the Commissioners appointed for that end And to certifie with the saids {sic} Commissioners the value and Weight of the Species received; I have been ever since in the Diligent Exercise of that trust And am obliged to the trouble pains and attendance With the saids {sic} Commissioners att the Tale Weight and Recept {sic} of the Specie from the Bank. And having taken that trouble upon me by authority of the Goverment {sic} And upon their Assurance of receiving satisfaction for my pains this duty not ariseing from my office as Clerk to the Mint

I humbly Submitt the same to your Lordship And prays your Ldship may be be pleased to take me also under Your Consideration when you shall think fitt to order any thing for the other Commissioners And to appoint me such a Gratification as your Ldship in your Wisdom shall find Iust
