In obedience to yor Lops Order signified to us by Mr Taylour {illeg}th {illeg} Aug the 28th of this Instant, that we should consider the inclosed \matter conteined in an/ Abstract of a memorial wch your Lordp has recd from Scotland relating to the Mint & Recoynage of the Moneys there & Report to yor Lop \or opinion/ wt is fit to be done therein we humbly represent that All the things which were desired conteined\desired/ in the Schedule \& letter former {sic}/ sent from \the Mint/ in Scotland \& not for {illeg}/ were provided & the each some of them sent in a shop wch arrived at Edinburgh some time {illeg} befo\in Iune or/ in Iuly & the rest were put on bor|a|rd above before above a before\another ship/ five or six weeks ago, {illeg} That \such/ the Master of the Mint f the last week received from Sr David |and| That a new Sche upon the arrival of upon the \three/ Moneyers sent from hence to Edinburgh, upon their arrival there, {illeg} taking a survey of that Mint for {illeg} found that they still want four Cutters two Flatters & a sixpenny coyning Press & thereupo \&/ |finding| \some things still wanting/ a \new/ schedule was drawn up of what they further wanted & two copies thereof sent by Dr Gregory the one to Sr David Nairn the other to \Sr Isaac/ the Mast{illeg}|er| & Worker \of {illeg} this Mint/ & the Mr & Wr upon discouring {sic} The M{r}atter wch Sr David \left it to Sr. David move yor Lordp for a general order for that purpose & p{illeg}|r|ovidign the things desired &/ gave {spre} {illeg}|o|rder immediately for providing the thins in the Schedule, {illeg} as necessary for & left it to Sr David to speak \{move}/ to your Lordp for a general order to that purpose, that \in the mean time/ there might be no stop.\same with all with all {sic} due dispatch, they being that no time might be lost/ |And we further repr| Th{e}|a|t \in/ the \said new/ schedule conteined four Cutters,\besides the Cutter mentioned in the abstract, there were are/ two Flatting Engins, & one sixpenny Press \set down as wanting/ for the Money{illeg} use of the Moneyers, \all/ wch tools are necessary since they are not yet in that Mint are \we humbly conceive/ necessary to be sent from hence & \they/ are preparing & will cost about 12{illeg}|0| pounds sterling. \And we represent al{illeg}|so|/ That the Puncheons for the crowns & halfs crowns were made but failed in the hardening & new ones are making. \And/ That \in/ the said Schedule the Assaymaster desires a new Assay-ballance & the {Assaymast} Graver desires small puncheons for the letters small arms & letters, & they are providing & will not cost much. And that, if yor Lordshp pleases, all these things shall sent as soon as they can be got ready|,|. we |\wch/ as we reccon will be before ye 10th of ye next| /month.\

And we are further \humbly/ of opinion that Order may be given \for paying/ to the |proper| Officer of that Mint for paying out of the Fund of that Mint \such/ summs of \|[|persons imployed in the melting 7amp; {illeg}|c|o{illeg}|y|ning such summs of/ money as shall from time to time become due to the {illeg} Officer \{there}/ & Moneyers for coynage & for their service in atten\imployed in the present coynage for/ melting the {new} old moneys & coyning it into new. A into Ingots & {illeg} for melting & coy{illeg}|n|ing the Ingotts into new.] \officers of that Mint & by that Officer to the Melters &/ persons imployed in the meltings {illeg}|&| coyna{illeg}|g|e, such summs of {moye} moneys as shal \from time to time/ become due {illeg} to them \upon contract/ for that service & that the Officers of that Mitn do lay before their superiors to be transmitted to yor Lordp the \most proper/ method of doing it suitably to ye contracts made & to the present constitution of their Mint.
