M^r. Peyton says halfe the Silver brought to the Mint to be coined is New Bullion, and they suspect it to be money melted

The Officers of the Mint say they have met with New money clipt and edged againe

S^r Isaac Newton saies 6^d Baggs are too light about 14 or 15 Ounces The 1^sh. Bags about 7^oz. & $\frac{1}{2}$, The Crownes and halfe Crownes ab^t 4^oz in every 100^l. by wearing and unlawfull diminishing together

My Lord Orders, that the reasonable wearing only of the 6^ds. 1^shs. & Halfe Crownes seperately be adjusted, and a Medium taken from thence for the Ordinary wear of a Bagg in w^ch. those pieces are promiscuously put

The Officers of the Mint are to consider how to prevent the Counterfeiting of the Copper Halfe pence & Farthings.
