Whereas Wee are informed that by reason of the often me{illeg}|e|ting of the Officers of o^r Mint about the Melting, recoyning, and delivering of the late Crosse and Harpe money, there hath bin a more then ordinary Expence made in Dyet, an allowance whereof cannot be given by y^e Aud^rs. of o^r mint into y^e Warden upon his acc^ts, wihout o^r especiall Warr^t (not{illeg}|w|ithstanding the same has bin done by o^r Command) {sic} and in {o^{rd^r}} to o^r Service) and whereas these may likewise speedily be occasion of more frequent meetings of o^r said Officers concerning y^e telling melting downe, assaying, coyning and delivering and of o^r Treary lately come from france o^r will and Pleasure is and Wee doe hereby require and authorize S^r W^m Parkhurst and S^r Ant: S^r Leger K^ts. Wardens of o^r Mint duely and from time to time to pay but Bills of charges for dyet and other extraordinary Expences in Relacon to o^r service in y^e Mint as now are due of|{r}| here after shall be due & dd unto y^mm und^r. y^e accountm^t. of y^e Mast^r. Comptroller & assay master or any two of them the Matt^r alwaies to be one according to y^e powers graunted by us in y^e Indenture of the mint. And we doe hereby likewise com̄and and authorize y^e Aud^r of o^r mints for the time being to allow unto y^e s^d Wardens o{r} upon Acc^ts all such Bills for dyett and other Extraordinary expences accordingly and this shall be y^r warrant for so doing given und^r at o^r Court at whitehall 13 day of Dec^r 1662
