Whereas Wee are informed that by reason of the often me{illeg}|e|ting of the Officers of or Mint about the Melting, recoyning, and delivering of the late Crosse and Harpe money, there hath bin a more then ordinary Expence made in Dyet, an allowance whereof cannot be given by ye Audrs. of or mint into ye Warden upon his accts, wihout or especiall Warrt (not{illeg}|w|ithstanding the same has bin done by or Command{sic} and in {ordr} to or Service) and whereas these may likewise speedily be occasion of more frequent meetings of or said Officers concerning ye telling melting downe, assaying, coyning and delivering and of or Treary lately come from france or will and Pleasure is and Wee doe hereby require and authorize Sr Wm Parkhurst and Sr Ant: Sr Leger Kts. Wardens of or Mint duely and from time to time to pay but Bills of charges for dyet and other extraordinary Expences in Relacon to or service in ye Mint as now are due of|{r}| here after shall be due & dd unto ymm undr. ye accountmt. of ye Mastr. Comptroller & assay master or any two of them the Mattr alwaies to be one according to ye powers graunted by us in ye Indenture of the mint. And we doe hereby likewise com̄and and authorize ye Audr of or mints for the time being to allow unto ye sd Wardens o{r} upon Accts all such Bills for dyett and other Extraordinary expences accordingly and this shall be yr warrant for so doing given undr at or Court at whitehall 13 day of Decr 1662
