Whereas the kings most Excellent Matie by his Letters Patents under the Great Seale of Great Britaine bearing date the first day of Ianuary in the first year of his p^rsent Maties Reigne did Give + Grant unto S^r. Isaac Newton kn^t. the Office of Master + Worker of all moneys both Gold + Silver within his Maties Mint in the Tower of London + elsewhere within that part of his Maties kingdome of Great Brittain called England         These are to certifye that the said S^r. Isaac Newton with his Suretyes by three Bonds dated the 12^th. day of May in the 4^th. yeare of his Maties Reigne gave Security to his Matie in the Office of his Maties {Rem^r.} of his Excheq^r. at Westm^r. for the due Execucon of his said Office persuant to a Warr^t. of the Right Honoble the Lords Com^rs. of his Maties Treasury in that behalfe viz^t.
