Author: Isaac Newton

Source: Keynes Ms. 139, King's College, Cambridge, UK

Contents

Fly-leaf signed by E. Jekyll, who may be the person who produced this elegant and meticulously neat manuscript copy, bound in marble boards. A summary of Newton's chronological ideas, drawn up by him in 1716 at the request of Caroline, Princess of Wales (and supposedly for her eyes only, though in fact a number of copies soon began to circulate: see Westfall, Never at Rest, 805-7).
