SL96 was bought at the 1936 Sotheby sale by Emmanuel Fabius for £7. This section was sold as Lot 501 at the New York Sotheby sale of 3 December 2004 to an unknown buyer for $60,000, while the remainder (miscellaneous alchemical notes) was sold as Lot 504.

Handwriting and paper seem similar to those of Keynes Ms. 18 in King's College, Cambridge.
